QPR wait on Adel Taarabt injury

QPR are sweating on the fitness of Adel Taarabt ahead of tomorrow's trip to Barnsley.

The mercurial Moroccan missed Saturday's drubbing against strugglers Scunthorpe with a stomach problem.

But the former Spurs star could return at Oakwell if he gets the all-clear from the doctor.

Boss Neil Warnock said: "We're waiting for the doctor's report to decide whether to bring him up by car later today."

Scouts urge Real Madrid to go for QPR star Taarabt

Real Madrid are weighing up a shock swoop for QPR star Adel Taarabt.

Marca says Real scouts have delivered glowing reports on the formerTottenham reject to sports director Jorge Valdano.

Taarabt has inspired QPR this season to within touching distance of promotion to the Premier League.

Real are seeking to overhaul their midfield options in the summer - but on a budget - and believe they can land Taarabt for less than £10 million.

Pedro Leon, Sergio Canales, Fernando Gago, Esteban Granero and Lassana Diarra are all under the gun.
